Love Beauty and Planet are one of those brands that have always been on my radar (yes to post-consumer recycled bottles!) but I’ve never bothered to try them until recently. Their cute, simple design drew me in, but their effectiveness is what made me keep some of them as a permanent staple.

Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang Conditioner

This was the first product of theirs that I tried and fell in love with. It was surprisingly easy to detangle my most stubborn knots with this conditioner. For this reason, and it’s deep conditioning ability, is why it’s my favorite from all three. The coconut oil acts as a smoother to enhance softness and takes the place of a traditional silicone in hair products. This is a conditioner I will continue to use, especially for its fast-rinse technology. FYI: It’s one of their top-rated conditioners.

Takeaways:

  • Thick-ish Texture
  • Deeply Moisturizes
  • Detangles Easily

Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Conditioner

This volumizing conditioner for thin hair made my hair noticeably lush and thicker without the tangle (conditioners that claim to thicken my hair usually end up tangling my hair even more). Do any other thin-haired curlies experience this phenomenon as well? My favorite detail of this conditioner is it’s energizing aroma. The smell of sweet, organic coconut water and mimosa lingers after spreading it through, making it a pampering and indulging experience. Although the conditioner makes for a relaxing experience, my leave-in cream from Briogeo does a good enough job of volumizing my curls that I don’t need this conditioner.

Takeaways:

  • Thickens Fine Hair
  • Sweet Island Scent
  • Easy to Distribute

Coconut Milk & White Jasmine Conditioner

This lightweight conditioner is geared toward women with curly hair that want well-defined curls. The ethically sourced white jasmine gives off a sweet floral scent that enveloped me the minute I slathered it on my hair. When it comes to moisturizing though, it didn’t do that great of a job and was the one I was least impressed by. Although the floral aroma made it a decadent experience, I feel it needed something extra to make it something I would buy again.

Takeaways:

  • Decadent Scent
  • Lightweight for Thin Hair
  • Not as Moisturizing

How exactly does it help the planet?

Designed with fast-rinse technology, these light-weight conditioners sped up the rinsing and detangling process for me and helped save a lot of water. I found myself being able to glide my wide-toothed comb swiftly through my strands without any tugging or pulling. Another way these Love Beauty and Planet conditioners are saving the planet? Their moisturizing conditioners and sulfate-free shampoos are housed in 100% recycled plastic. Their use of recycled plastic gives the bottles a yellow tint of color, which I don’t mind if it means being kinder to our world!
